The ThermalBattery stores heat energy from industrial sources (steam, thermal oil) in a unique solid-state storage medium: HEATCRETE®. This storage medium differs significantly from regular, structural concrete. HEATCRETE® has a higher thermal conductivity resulting in very effective heat transfer. At the same time, it is chemically stable at high temperatures (design for operation up to 450°C) and has high tensile strength to withstand repeated thermal stress cycling.

EnergyNest Modules are flexible and scalable
The unique modular design enables users to stack the modules like building blocks and scale the number of modules to fit the required storage capacity. EnergyNest is custom-made to fit your needs and can be scaled from a few MWhth into the GWhth range – simply by adding more modules. As such, it can be configured and adapted to a variety of storage applications and requirements.
Thanks to prefabricated piping and easy on-site assembly, EnergyNest already saves time and money in the installation phase. It is also suited for containerized logistics – each module has the same dimensions as that of a 20 ft container.
