This month the Energy team had two very special long-service awards handed out. These were to our Construction & Manufacturing Specialist – Robert Parker, and our General Manager – Nigel Martin. Both Robert & Nigel started at Easteel Industries Ltd (the original name of the company that subsequently became RCR and now Windsor) which was founded by Paul Dippie and Bruce McBeth, and we were pleased to be able to include them in our celebrations.
Philip Gedye, CEO, awarded a 35 years’ service award to Robert who started as an engineering apprentice in the Dannevirke workshop. Nigel was awarded a 30 years’ service award as he also started in the Dannevirke office as they developed the engineering design team. Both Robert and Nigel were able to reminisce and share their experience with the wider team.
The current Windsor Energy team has a very long history with over 50% of the engineering team starting with us from either apprenticeships, cadetships or graduate programs. Windsor values the loyalty of our employees and we are always interested to meet new people that could fit into our tight knit team. If you think that’s you, get in touch with us at vacancies@windsor.co.nz.
